Processing pipeline

What happens to each new file
  1. FetchCollector downloads the GDACS event list, JTWC advisory geometry, IMD CAP warnings and the INSAT-3DR image.
  2. CleanDrop overlays and text, remove duplicates, convert dates to UTC and check each feed arrived.
  3. Resize & normaliseCrop to the North Indian Ocean, resample to 128 × 128, map pixel brightness to cloud-top temperature (K).
  4. Extract featuresCold-cloud area, symmetry, eye contrast, storm centre, motion vector and intensity trend.
  5. Hand to AI engineDetection, intensity and 24 h track models run and write results to the database.

Data sources and feed status

This demo runs on replayed storms. In deployment, the collector pulls each feed on its own schedule and the status lights show whether the latest file arrived.
